This accessibility statement explains how the Visit Taipalsaari online service complies with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, what shortcomings there are in its accessibility and how you can give us feedback on accessibility problems.
The municipality of Taipalsaari is responsible for this service. We want as many users as possible to be able to use our digital services. We take accessibility into account in the development of our digital services.
How accessible is the service?
This service partially meets the A and AA level accessibility criteria required by law (WCAG criteria 2.1 and 2.2). The service has some accessibility deficiencies, which are described in more detail below.

Content or functions that are not yet accessible
Detectability
- There are texts and buttons in the web service where the contrast is too low. (WCAG 1.4.3)
- Incorrect information is not always shown clearly enough, and no suggestions for correction are given for errors. (WCAG 1.4.1 and 3.3.1)
- Not all texts formatted as headings are consistently marked as headings. (WCAG 1.3.1 and 2.4.6)
- Links that open in a new tab outside the online service do not indicate that you have opened in a new tab. (WCAG 1.3.1)
Customizability
- In some places, the service does not adapt to smaller screen sizes. (WCAG 1.4.10)
Use with a screen reader and keyboard
The service cannot be used without problems with screen readers an keyboard yet:
- The web service has in-page jump links that do not move the keyboard cursor and are not visually noticeable. (WCAG 2.4.1, 2.4.3 and 2.4.7)
- The online service contains components whose status information is not transmitted to screen readers. (WCAG 4.1.2)
- The online service has components that lack accessible name tags. (WCAG 4.1.2)
- The online service contains graphics that lack descriptive alternative texts. (WCAG 4.1.2)
- The visual alignment of the keyboard is deficient (WCAG 2.4.7)
- Keyboard and screen reader focus doesn’t move to the mobile menu. (WCAG 2.1.1 and 2.4.3)
- A screen reader does not reach all text content. (WCAG 1.3.1)
- The screen reader does not receive information about the updated search results of the online service search. (WCAG 4.1.3)
- The online service contains links that are non-descriptive or repetitive (WCAG 2.4.4)
- The online service has image carousels whose image content cannot be stopped. (WCAG 2.2.2)
- The online service has image carousels that are difficult to understand for screen readers. (WCAG 3.1.2, 3.2.2 and 4.1.2)
- The online service contains informative images that are hidden from screen readers, (WCAG 1.1.1)
An effort will be made to correct the shortcomings listed in this statement during 2026.
