Kannuskylä Stable
The new Kannuskylä Stable is located in Vitsai, Taipalsaari, right on the border of Kannuskylä. It’s about 25 km from Lappeenranta and 15 km from Saimaanharju, from where it’s about a 15-minute drive to the stable. The surroundings of Kannuskylä Stable offer a peaceful and idyllic countryside setting. The atmosphere at the stable is also calm and friendly. Here, everyone can pursue their hobby at their own level and in their own way—everyone is supported and encouraged.

The stable has ten box stalls, a heated tack room, a large illuminated outdoor arena (24x65m) with jumping equipment, extremely versatile terrain for riding and driving, and summer pastures. Kannuskylä Stable offers high-quality stable services, pasture spots, riding and training lessons, horse breaking, training, coaching, competition services, as well as horse sales, sales brokerage, and rentals. Riding lessons and training sessions are also held at other stables. The operations of Kannuskylä Stable are managed by Ratsupalvelu Maiju Alve tmi.
Maiju actively competes in both dressage and show jumping. She is currently studying for a professional qualification as a riding instructor. Her background includes qualifications as a riding coach, horse groom, and a hobby riding instructor approved by the Equestrian Federation of Finland (SRL). Maiju is responsible for lessons and trail rides at Kannuskylä Stable and also provides weekly training for both in-house clients and visiting horse-rider pairs.
Maiju’s partner, Valtteri Virtanen, is also an equestrian. He has successfully competed in show jumping and has a few starts in dressage as well. Valtteri is a certified show jumping course designer and judge.
